You may see and feel the following conditions while increasing muscle stimulation intensity levels during therapy:
- At first, when you start the therapy and the muscle stimulation intensity is low, it will feel like a vibrating or tingling sensation on your skin.
- When you gradually increase the stimulation intensity, the vibrations will cause your quadriceps muscles to twitch.
- As you reach the right intensity for your body, your muscle will start contracting, feeling like flexing.
- It is important to increase stimulation intensity levels until you see strong, comfortable flexing of your muscles. The stimulation should not cause discomfort or pain.
Motive muscle stimulation helps strengthen your quadriceps muscles to treat your knee pain—the same experience as exercising. By building up your quadriceps muscles—as you would while exercising—your quad can better support your knee and reduce stress on the joint. The result? Longer-lasting pain relief.
NOTE: The Knee and Thigh therapy intensity levels can change from 1 to 100 on the MyMotive App. You may experience a tingling sensation at lower intensity levels between 1 to 10. This sensation is normal. Increase the stimulation intensity until you see and feel movement in your muscles.
